Find Fabric Stores

About Find Fabric Stores

We list 7,487 fabric stores and quilt shops across 51 states, on 668 city pages. The point is to answer the question a map listing does not: not just where a shop is, but whether it carries what you are driving over for.

Where the listings come from

The shops themselves come from Google Maps business listings, which is where opening hours, phone numbers and ratings come from too. That gets us the address and whether a shop is still trading. It does not tell us what is on the shelves.

How the fabric types are checked

For 5,007 of the shops, we read the shop's own website and recorded what it says it stocks, along with the page we read it on and the date we read it. Where a shop has no site, or its site does not say, we leave the field off the page rather than guess. A blank is not a claim that a shop does not carry something; it means we could not verify it, and we would rather show you less than show you something wrong.

The same goes for whether a shop sells to the public or only to the trade. We only say so where the shop says so.

Chains

Hobby Lobby and Michaels branches are listed because people look for them, but their fabric range varies branch to branch and we do not claim to know what any one store has in. Call ahead.

Something wrong?

Shops close, move and change their hours, and we will not always know first. If something here is out of date, or your shop is missing, tell us and we will fix it.

We are a directory. We are not affiliated with any of the shops listed, we do not take a cut of anything you buy, and no shop can pay to be ranked higher.
